Brann - VIF Fotball 1-1 (1-1) Brann stadion Att: 11 316 1-0 Roger Helland (7) 1-1 Kenneth Nysæther (12) Yellow card: Trond Egil Soltvedt, Magnus Johansson, Brann, Morten Kihle, Håvard Lunde, VIF Fotball. - VIF defended well throughout the game and a draw was a fair result. Brann felt they should have had a penalty when Soltvedt went down, but the ref said no. None of the possible WC-players (Strandli,Soltvedt and Pedersen) played well. Pedersen didn't even paly at all. Lillestrøm - Hamarkameratene 1-2 (0-2) Åråsen stadion Att: 4707 0-1 Stein Arne Ingelstad (5) 0-2 Vegard Skogheim (26) 1-2 Mons Ivar Mjelde (67) Yellow card: Tom Gulbrandsen, Jan Ove Pedersen, Lillestrøm, Vegard Skogheim, Hamarkameratene. - The shock of the night. Hamkam won away from home for the first time, and very deservedly so. LSK played awfully, and were booed off the field. Man of the match was Skogheim, but unfortunately for him he won't be selected in the WC squad. Sogndal - Kongsvinger 1-0 (0-0) Fosshaugane stadion Att: 1451 1-0 Bent Apneseth (61) Yellow card: Hai Ngoc Tran, Kongsvinger. - Another surprise in Sogndal, where the homeside won for the second time in five days. KIL really has a Sogndal jinx, they have lost by one goal on the last 5 previous occations. Sogndal are still bottom, but it's very tight, with 3 points separating the last seven clubs. Start - Bodø/Glimt 1-1 (0-0) Kristiansand stadion Att: 4072 0-1 Tom Kåre Staurvik (56) 1-1 Pål Lydersen (pen. 85) Yellow card: Frank Tønnesen, Start, Runar Berg, Bodø/Glimt. - Draw specialists Start did it again. This was their 6th 1-1 draw of the season !! Again they were dominant on the field, but could still easily have lost. Lydersen equalised 5 mins from time on penalty. The first goal was a beautifully executed free-kick from Staurvik. Not a hard, powerful one, but a soft, chip over the Start wall and into the left corner. It remainded me of the Ronald Koeman goal for Holland against England last autumn. Strømsgodset - Tromsø 0-0 Marienlyst stadion Att: 4410 Yellow card: Pål Skistad, Espen Horsrud, Strømsgodset, Per Egil Swift, Bjørn Ludvigsen, Tromsø. - Not a very good game in Drammen. National coach Drillo was among the spectators, probably looking at Ingebrigtsen (SIF) and Rushfeldt (TIL). The former was almost invisible, whereas the latter played a good game as a lone attacker. He might be the third forward in the WC squad. We'll all know on Monday. Viking - Rosenborg 1-2 (0-0) Stavanger stadion Att: 9568 1-0 Sander Solberg (54) 1-1 Bent Skammelsrud (74) 1-2 Bjørn Otto Bragstad (86) Yellow card: Gunnar Aase, Viking. - The undefeated league leaders once again showed why they are completely superior in Norway. Despite going behind, and not playing that well, they got back, equalised and grabbed a late winner. Their lead is now on six points, and people is already talking about the championship being over. Of course that's not true, but RBK will be very difficult to catch. Viking were disappointing again. They have potensial, but are unable to win close games. There are rumours that manager Bjarne Berntsen is on his way out, but nothing is confirmed.
