Norwegian Cup semifinal, first leg ================================== Lillestrøm - Brann 3-1 (0-0) Åråsen Att: 3106 1-0 Ståle Solbakken (55) 1-1 Roger Helland (67) 2-1 Kåre Ingebrigtsen (pen. 85) 3-1 Ingebrigtsen (pen. 90) - A dramatic game which was decided by two late penalties (both correct), and both after Solbakken had been dragged down. Until then, Brann looked like getting a very good away result after the equaliser by Helland on a mistake by goalkeeper Grodås. As it is, the visitors could still make it to the final, but now they have to win by at least two goals on Wednesday to do that. This game was the first for LSK under new coach Kjetil Osvold, who replaced Teitur Thordarson during the week. The Icelandic was fired because of lack of results and confidence from the board and players. This could mean the end of the training cooperation with the "Olympiatoppen", according to the rumours. Hødd - Rosenborg 0-5 (0-4) Høddvoll Att: 3919 0-1 Mini Jakobsen (20) 0-2 Karl Petter Løken (29) 0-3 Trond Egil Soltvedt (33) 0-4 Even Blakstad (o.g. 37) 0-5 Harald Brattbakk (72) - This was a very strange game. Before the break the home side had at least as many chances as the visitors, but still it was 0-4 at half time, due to a very efficient RBK side, and an inefficient home side which even missed a penalty. Naturally the game was all over by then, but to make things certain Brattbakk fulfilled the humiliation and scored the 5th midway through the second half. The second leg in Trondheim is certainly going to be a formality, and there is even some talk about both sides fielding a lot of reserve players in that game, as RBK have the league and Champions League to think about, whereas the main objective of Hødd is to save themselves from relegation. Anyhow, Rosenborg will be qualified for their 11th cup final. The only disappointment was the low number of spectators who had turned up for both the game in Lillestrøm and the one in Ulsteinvik. Although both matches were televised live on national TV (NRK), only just over 7000 people must be the lowest number in a few decades.
