Skeid - Strømsgodset 2-3 (1-0) Att: 4605 1-0 O.M. Johansen (pen. 36) 1-1 K. Isaksen (53) 1-2 P. Skistad (68) 1-3 J. Flo (78) 2-3 C. Johansen (82) Yellow card: Kjølø, Jacobsen, A. Michelsen, Skeid. Horsrud, Karlsen, Strømsgodset. - Skeid's return to the premier division didn't end in a pleasant way. In a game which could be taped and used as an instruction film on long-ball football, long throw-ins, set-pieces and defensive mistakes, the home side was always second best against a battling SIF side. If this continue Skeid will have major problems staying up. SIF wasn't mich better, but their "Flo-football" could cause problems for any team even though it's not pretty to watch. Rosenborg - Molde 2-0 (0-0) Att: 18950 1-0 Stensaas (72) 2-0 Heggem (89) Yellow card: Berg Hestad, Molde. - The biggest game of the first round ended like the one last season. However, had Molde taken their chances, things could have been very different. It wasn't until Heggem scored one minute from time that the home win for the champions was secured. For long parts of the game the visitors were equal if not better than Rosenborg, but experience told in the end. Viking Tromsø 2-2 (1-1) Att: 11072 1-0 Østenstad (23) 1-1 Berg Johansen (36) 2-1 Skogheim (76) 2-2 Rushfeldt (80) Yellow card: Pedersen, Kindervåg, Viking. Nilsen, Ludviksen, Hanssen, Tromsø. - TIL surprised Viking with a more offensive display than expected, but should still have been three goals down at half-time, if it hadn't been for the erratic finishing of Østenstad. In the second half the game was more even, and the announced change of style to more possesion play by Viking was never really witnessed. Moss - Bodø/Glimt 0-1 (0-0) Att: 5052 0-1 Johansen (51) Yellow card: Sylte, Moss. - The newcomers Moss played well in the first half, but woeful finishing let them down. When B/G stepped up a gear in the second, they eventually scored the winning goal, and managed to contain the home side for the rest of the game. Based on this match (and the outcome) the two teams will be fighting in opposite ends of the table, as predicted by all experts. Lillestrøm - Vålerenga 2-0 (0-0) Att: 10532 1-0 Solbakken (59) 2-0 Sandstø (65) Yellow card: Bjarmann, Werni, LSK. Lunde, Riisnæs, Musæus, Vålerenga. - The games between LSK and VIF (whose new name officially is Vålerenga Fotball) were the closest you got to a local derby in Oslo, and despite the arrival of Skeid, the games attract a lot of interest. The hatred between the supporters of both teams are well known, and some had expected some spectator trouble in this game, but I'm glad to say that it didn't happen at all. It was just like a good game of football should be, with both sets of supporters singing and dancing in the packed stadium. On the field though, things were different. VIF are in deep crisis because of injuries and most of all because they don't seem to score or even create any chances at all. The home side wasn't much better in the first half, but after Solbakken scored with the outside of his right foot from 16 metres, they took more control and added a second only minutes later.
