Bodø/Glimt - Sogndal 3-0 (2-0) Att: 3891 1-0 Bengt Sæternes (22) 2-0 Sæternes (39) 3-0 Aasmund Bjørkan (53) Yellow card: Ørjan Berg, Aasmund Bjørkan, Ola Haldorsen, Bodø/Glimt, Eirik Bakke, Sogndal. - An easy win for B/G against a very bad Sogndal side. Newcomer Sæternes got off to a flying start and scored two goals. Kongsvinger - Brann 2-2 (0-1) Att: 3375 0-1 Kjetil Løvvik (44) 1-1 Vidar Evensen (56) 2-1 Marius Gullerud (68) 2-2 Mons Ivar Mjelde (pen. 86) Yellow card: Jon Inge Høiland, Kongsvinger, Jan Ove Pedersen, Stefan Paldan, Brann. - KIL really should have won this game based on opportunities and play on the field, but a late penalty saved the first point of the season for Brann. Moss - Stabæk 1-0 (1-0) Att: 4204 1-0 Tommy Sylte (40) Yellow card: Leif Erik Andersen, Moss, Tommy Svindal Larsen, Stabæk. - Another surprise 1-0 win for newcomers Moss. The home side dominated the first half, but in the second Stabæk took over in search for an equalizer, but it wasn't to be. Rosenborg - Viking 3-1 (2-1) Att: 14 571 0-1 Gunnar Aase (9) 1-1 Sigurd Rushfeldt (38) 2-1 Roar Strand (45) 3-1 Strand (75) Yellow card: Christian Flindt Bjerg, Bjarte Lunde Aarsheim, Viking. - A good game at Lerkendal. Viking were the better side in the first half and also took the lead. However, two late goals by RBK turned the game, and in the second half there was no doubt as to which team was the better. Tromsø - Strømsgodset 2-2 (0-1) Att: 4027 0-1 Thomas Wæhler (37) 1-1 Tryggvi Gudmundsson (58) 2-1 Rune Lange (60) 2-2 Tor A. Sannerholt (77) Yellow card: Rune Lange, Tromsø, Rune Hagen, Strømsgodset. - Another 2-2 game, which the home side should have won with ease. SIF, still without Jostein Flo, really had only two godd chances whereas TIL missed a hatful. Vålerenga - Haugesund 3-2 (1-2) Att: 9252 0-1 Asbjørn Helgeland (25) 0-2 Jarle Wee (27) 1-2 Juro Kuvicek (33) 2-2 Kjell Roar Kaasa (66) 3-2 Kaasa (76) Yellow card: Joachim Walltin, Vålerenga, Jostein Grindhaug, Haugesund. - Awful defending almost let VIF down for the second match running. Two free headers gave FKH a 2-0 lead, but the home side never stopped working. Kuvicek scored before the break, and Kaasa got the equalizer and the deserved winner after the interval, and showed that the absence of Carew for at least three months might not be fatal after all. However, the team from Oslo really must learn how to defend if they are to meet the expectations. Molde - Lillestrøm 4-0 (3-0) Att: 13 010 1-0 Tommy Berntsen (o.g. 4) 2-0 Daniel Berg Hestad (30) 3-0 Andreas Lund (37) 4-0 Bjarki Gunnlaugsson (72) Yellow card: Bjarki Gunnlaugsson, Molde, Ole Einar Martinsen, Arild Sundgot, Lillestrøm. - The New Molde stadion was opened by Prime Minister Bondevik (who is actually from Molde!) on Saturday, and a full house went home happy after watching a 4-0 home win. The win was not as convincing as the scoreline suggests, but LSK with 8 players injured or suspended gave some easy goals away. The new stadium is an architectural masterpiece, and an all-seater, situated by the sea at Reknes and close to the the city centre.
