More than 3000 Vålerenga supporters took the trip to London, and provided excellent vocal support for the team. Cup Winners Cup, quarterfinal, second leg (18/3) ========================================= Vålerenga - Chelsea 2-3 (2-3), agg. 2-6 Ullevaal stadion Att: 17 936 0-1 Gianluca Vialli (11) 0-2 Bernarde Lambourde (15) 1-2 Fredrik Kjølner (27) 1-3 Tore André Flo (33) 2-3 John Carew (41) Referee: Amand Ancion, Belgium. - As expected Vålerenga went out of the cup winners cup. Despite playing much more adventurous than in the first leg, the home team was unable to prevent another Chelseas win. However, had Vålerenga taken their opportunities in the first half the result on the day might have been different. All in all, the place in the querterfinal is an excellent achievement for Norwegian club football and Vålerenga.
