Match report ------------ Rosenborg won the Norwegian cup final for the 8th time, and also the league and cup double. Despite losing twice to Brann in the league, Rosenborg got the revenge when it mattered the most. After a very dull first half, without a single good opportunity for either side, largely due to Brann's defensive tactic, the game came to life in the second. Big hero was Sørensen who scored both goals. The first after turning Ylonen inside out before shooting from an acute angle, a shot which Kihlstedt could have done better to save. Seven minutes later Sørensen was sent clean through on goal, rounded Kihlstedt and calmly slotted the ball home. After that burst, Brann were unable to get back into the game, and RBK seemed more interested in the crucial CL games ahead. Not the best of cup finals, but a thoroughly deserved win for the league champions. For the first time ever, the Norwegian cup final was played on a Saturday, due to the aforementioned CL game for Rosenborg on Tuesday.
