- Bryne almost made sure of continued premier division football with a clear
  three goal win.  Big hero was Bjørnsen who scored the two late goals with
  excellent strikes.  The win was deserved although perhaps the margin was 
  too big.  Now, Hamarkameratene face a uphill struggle in the return leg 
  on Saturday.

- As expected the home team had no chance of recording the three goals win 
  they needed in wintery conditions in Hamar.  Bryne were perfectly happy 
  to sit back and absorbe the pressure.  A dull 0-0 draw was the outcome,
  despite a couple of good chances for Hamkam.  Thus, Bryne stay in the
  premier division in 2002 also, whereas Hamarkameratene need to play at
  the second level and try to be promoted next season instead.
