Brann - Kongsvinger 2-0 (1-0) Att: 10.532 1-0 Tore André Flo (pen. 41) 2-0 Per-Ove Ludvigsen (60) Yellow card: Per-Ove Ludvigsen, Brann, Ole Einar Martinsen, Vidar Evensen, Stein Arne Ingelstad, Kongsvinger. - A first home win for Brann, which keeps them in contention for one of the medals. KIL lost yet again away from home, and are facing a long battle against relegation. Tromsø - Lillestrøm 1-0 (1-0) Att: 4016 1-0 Bjørn Johansen (34) Yellow card: Jonny Hanssen, Sigurd Rushfeldt, Ole Martin Årst, Tromsø, Peter Werni, Geir Frigård, Lillestrøm. - League leaders LSK lost for only their second time of the season, but are still in the lead. The visitors were outfought by a physical TIL, and the win could have been more convincing. Stabæk - Molde 3-3 (2-2) Att: 4025 1-0 Petter Belsvik (2) 2-0 Belsvik (7) 2-1 Ole Gunnar Solskjær (21) 2-2 Daniel Berg Hestad (28) 3-2 Fredrik Gärdeman (67) 3-3 Arild Stavrum (pen. 80) - A very enjoyable game at Nadderud, where once more Stabæk failed to turn a good performance into three points, and instead had to settle for a draw. Had they taken their chances in all their home games, SIF would be challenging for the title now... Molde on the other hand had Solskjær in excellent form, but the defense let the visitors down, Vålerenga - Bodø/Glimt 1-1 (1-1) Att: 5034 1-0 Espen Haug (17) 1-1 Runar Berg (34) Yellow card: Bjørn Arild Levernes, Vålerenga. - A poor game at Ullevaal, which VIF should have won, but their inability to score goals again proved decisive. Their only goal came from an excellent long range shot from Haug. B/G were not much better, and were happy for one point after five straight defeats. Rosenborg - Skeid 6-1 (2-0) Att: 9136 1-0 Jahn Ivar Jakobsen (30) 2-0 Jakobsen (33) 2-1 Anders Michelsen (51) 3-1 Harald Martin Brattbakk (63) 4-1 Brattbakk (70) 5-1 Steffen Iversen (76) 6-1 Bent Skammelsrud (89) Yellow card: Jon Olav Hjelde, Rosenborg, Mike Kjølø, Jan-Petter Olsen, Dagfinn Enerly, Morten Berre, Glenn Theodorsen, Skeid. - Skeid's unbeaten away run was smashed by Rosenborg, which themselves regained some of the confidence lost from the last weeks' games. However, the scoreline was somewhat misleading. Not that RBK didn't deserve the win, but had Skeid scored on their penalty kick at 2-1, the game could have ended up differently. Unlik other teams (Moss...) the visitors came to Lerkendal to win, and not only defend, but paid the prize for that in the last half hour. Viking - Strømsgodset 0-1 (0-1) Att: 7322 0-1 Marcus Ziegler (42) Yellow card: Marcus Ziegler, Dimitrij Barannik, Strømsgodset. - A big surprise in Stavanger, with SIF inflicting the first home defeat on Viking. The victory was achieved by a tactical move by SIF coach Kristoffersen, who played the fast Ziegler upfront, insted of the big, slow Lee Chapman, as was anticipated. The German answered by scoring the winning goal. Moss - Start 1-0 (1-0) Att: 3533 1-0 Kjell Olofsson (28) Yellow card: Sigbjørn Kolnes, Moss, Pål Lydersen, Start. - Start crashed back to earth after the win against RBK, and deservedly lost to fellow strugglers Moss. What use is there to win against the best teams, when you go down easily against the opponents close to you? The situation looks bleak for the team from Kristiansand. Moss, on the other hand, with only one defeat in seven, crawled out of the relegation zone for the first time, and will not be the pushover all the experts expected (as is obviously also the case for fellow newcomers Skeid and Strømsgodset...)
